Process Mining
We show how the process actually runs before anyone automates a guess about it.
Every organization has two versions of its processes: the one in the documentation and the one the systems actually execute. Process mining reads the event data out of SAP and the systems around it and shows you the second one.
We use it as a way to settle arguments, not as a dashboard project. The output is a decision about what to change first.
When you need this
- A transformation is about to start, and the discussion about the current process still runs on opinion and workshop memory.
- Automation is on the table, and you want to know which variants are worth automating before anyone builds one.
- A process is known to be slow, and the part of it that is actually slow is contested.
What we do
- Connect and model. We extract event data from SAP and the systems around it, build the process model, and make sure it is a model your functional people recognize.
- Find the variants that matter. Most processes run along a few paths that carry the volume, plus a long tail that carries the exceptions. We separate the two and show where rework, waiting and manual intervention actually sit.
- Explain the deviations. A variant is only useful once someone can say why it exists. We work with your subject matter experts to tell a broken process apart from a legitimate exception.
- Turn findings into a shortlist. The deliverable is not a dashboard. It is a ranked list of what to fix, what to automate, and what to leave alone.
- Prove it on one process first. We run process mining on a single process before anything larger is agreed, so you judge the value on your own data. For the proof of concept we provide the Celonis licenses at no cost to you.
- Hand over, or stay. If your team wants to run the platform itself, we set it up and train them. If you would rather we keep it running through the transformation, we do that instead.
We are a Celonis Certified Partner, so the platform, the connectors and the licenses for a proof of concept come with us rather than as a separate purchase.
Process mining is the first step of the thread we work along: understand the process, automate what repeats, assure with regression that it still works. It is also the cheapest place to find out that an automation idea was aimed at the wrong thing.
